I HAVE seen the movie Clueless, but don't remember it enough to compare it to Emma.
I found Emma likable because, as much as i might regret saying this, she reminded me of me. The way she tried to coordinate all the engagements/weddings and run other peoples' lives reminded me of my need to always be organized and in charge. The characters reminded me of how people are constantly coming and going in my life, especially like family. Several of my cousins are getting into their teenage years (so am I) and constantly bringing new "significant others" to family functions. Even thought I didn't know it when I started reading it, the novel Emma is somewhat similar to my own life.
